Goodreads Summary:
Being a 16-year-old safecracker and active-duty daughter of international spies has its moments, good and bad. Pros: Seeing the world one crime-solving adventure at a time. Having parents with super cool jobs. Cons: Never staying in one place long enough to have friends or a boyfriend. But for Maggie Silver, the biggest perk of all has been avoiding high school and the accompanying cliques, bad lunches, and frustratingly simple locker combinations.
Then Maggie and her parents are sent to New York for her first solo assignment, and all of that changes. She’ll need to attend a private school, avoid the temptation to hack the school’s security system, and befriend one aggravatingly cute Jesse Oliver to gain the essential information she needs to crack the case . . . all while trying not to blow her cover.
My Review:
THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD!! I was expecting a lot from it, and it definitely met my expectations. Everything about this book was fun. I read it in one sitting, and now I want more!
I liked how funny this book was. It was told from the point of view of Maggie, the main character. I really liked getting to see her thoughts and feelings about things. She wanted to be such a normal teenager, and it was something that she really struggled with throughout the book.
The romance was so sweet, and so perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything else. It was so sweet to see Maggie fall in love for the first time. Jesse was the perfect guy, and really liked Maggie.
The end of the book was really where it all came together. Some people may have had the book figured out, but it was a total surprise for me. It had the perfect amount of suspense, and then the book closed on a sweet, happy note.
