All I Need by Susane Colasanti
Goodreads Summary:
The last night of summer is only the beginning.
Skye wants to meet the boy who will change her life forever. Seth feels their instant connection the second he sees her. When Seth starts talking to Skye at the last beach party of the summer, it’s obvious to both of them that this is something real. But when Seth leaves for college before they exchange contact info, Skye wonders if he felt the same way she did—and if she will ever see him again. Even if they find their way back to each other, can they make a long-distance relationship work despite trust issues, ex drama, and some serious background differences?
Teen favorite Susane Colasanti returns to the alternating-voice style of her beloved debut When It Happens in this Serendipity-inspired story about summer, soul mates, and the moments that change our lives forever.
My Review:
This is the first book that I have read by Susane Colasanti, but it definitely will not be the last. This book was an incredible love story. We all want to believe in soul mates, and this book made me want to believe it even more.
It started off as the perfect summer read. The book was incredibly sweet and exactly how every girl imagines falling in love. Everything about it was so sweet and so perfect. I wanted to be Skye just so that I could have that experience.
The book then started to have some conflicts. I’m all for conflicts to keep the book interesting, but I started to get annoyed. Maybe it was the fact that everything was so perfect as it was, and they had to go and mess things up. Or maybe I was annoyed because the girls’ arguments were so incredibly pointless (a fact that Seth points out). Regardless, I felt like there could have been a better conflict that was more worthwhile if that makes any sense. This was just a small part of my emotions during the book though. I really did love this book, and would definitely recommend it.

Favorite Quotes:
There are SOOO many, but I’ll just give you two:
“My thing is that I’m in love with love. Actually, I’m in love with the possibility of true love. Which could be considered a major problem. I wasn’t entirely happy with any of the boys I’ve been with. I’ve always felt like something was missing. A lot of people say true love doesn’t exist. But I never stopped hoping it did. I want to be swept away. I need to be swept way.”
“The best dreams are those really intense romantic ones where the dream still lingers for hours after you wake up. If you are very lucky, the dream lingers for days. I had one of those dreams last night.”
