Bethany Quinn is an architect in Chicago who returns home after tragedies back in her hometown. Bethany struggles with believing in God and how to face her past. With the help of some friends she learns how great God really is despite everything she is struggling with. This is a great story of friendship, love, loss, and how the Lord can help you through it all.
This book was hard to read at times because there were so many trials that it just got depressing. While conflict is necessary in a book, there may have been just a little too much. I loved Bethany’s relationship with the cute farmer but thought things took too long to happen. The book seemed to drag on and on and then at the very end everything quickly came together. I did really enjoy the basis of the storyline though, and there is a lot that we can learn from Bethany and her struggles to release everything to be able to completely trust in the Lord.
