My review:
This was an interesting read. I do not know anything about mining, and I do not agree with the Mormon beliefs, so I learned a lot through this book. This book seemed to be written very well. I loved the emotions in it, and how we got to be a part of their struggles in the story. I do think the story moved a little slow, and then everything happened really fast at the end. That was partly a good thing though, because it gave you a very vivid picture for the setting and the way life was like. I just wish the romance part would have happened a little faster.
The last few chapters of this book are very intense. I was laughing in parts and literally bawling my eyes out in other parts. The ending takes you on an emotional roller coaster that you will want to be a part of.
I do not see myself reading this book again, but I am very glad I read it.
3 stars.
