My review:
I am usually a fan of Kristin Billerbeck’s books, but this one was kind of disappointing. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it did not feel like there was any substance to the book. The majority of the book was just rehashing the same things over and over, so the book went very slowly for me.
I really enjoyed Jesse and how he was struggling with admitting his feelings for Daphne. There was a romantic tension there that I liked reading. I also enjoyed the Christian elements of the book. There weren’t a lot, but they were good.
I just thought there might have been too much emphasis on the smelling. It seemed really unrealistic too how she ended up getting her sense of smell back. Maybe that is actually possible, but to me it was really cheesy and fake.
