Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2) by Katie McGarry

Goodreads Summary:
Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. “Dance with me, Beth.”

“No.” I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again….

“I dare you…”

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk’s home life, they’d send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom’s freedom and her own happiness. That’s how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn’t want her and going to a school that doesn’t understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn’t get her, but does….

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can’t tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn’t be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won’t let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all….

My Review:
I am kind of at a loss for this book. As much as I loved Pushing the Limits, I loved this one even more! I didn’t know that was possible! I had been kind of skeptical about this book since the first one was so great. I didn’t want to be disappointed, but I most definitely was not!

I will say that at times, the book got a little repetitive. However, that was the nature of the characters. They needed to hear certain things over and over. I was not annoyed by the repetitiveness of the book at all. If anything, I think it adds to the book. It helps develop the characters into the people that they are supposed to be.

I really loved that Ryan was not a bad boy. Beth was the rebel in this book. I loved how sweet Ryan was, and how he really tried to understand Beth and where she came from. Noah and Echo were not main characters, but they were still in this story which I greatly appreciated. The next book is about Isaiah. I am so excited to get his point of view on everything. I think the next book might be the best one yet! I cannot wait!!

The romance in this book was incredible. I fell more and more in love with Ryan with every turn of the page. He is such a stand up guy who really loves Beth. It was so sweet to read. They were perfect together, and I loved every second of it.

I’m kind of at a loss for what else to say. Everything about this book was absolutely amazing. I cannot wait for the next book!
